If you want my own opinions on Lord Fallon and Lucy, I can give them, but I can’t speak for any other blog or clarify what any other blogger might have meant.īut as for what I saw: What I saw between Lucy and Fallon was what I expected to see. I’m not even gonna look for the post you’re talking about. Sorry, but as a general rule, I don’t really like to be asked to comment on other blogs’ opinions about these sorts of things, especially not via asks rather choosing to engage with their posts on my own. (Relevant – more thoughts about Lucy / Fallon and my discomfort with this game between them here.) But I think she’s in for a very interesting and important arc. I’d rather she could steer well clear of him. He’s a horrendous man, and as excited as I am to see Lucy engage in some flirtatious swordplay, I, too, am intrigued by this storyline, although I have my reservations about it. Right now, I’m cautious about expecting the whole organization to get taken down this season, but I think it’s reasonable to hope for 1) the Archon’s identity and 2) maybe Fallon’s personal downfall. If they want to keep any part of it going in hope of a third season, they can do that too. I think that if the creative team wants to wrap up the Spartan plot this season, they can. Will this season lead to the Spartans’ exposure? To the Archon’s? To Fallon’s? Possibly some of that, maybe not all.It would anchor her in the narrative by tying her to another existing subplot, and I have a suspicion about who the Spartans’ Archon is … Not to name names, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it starts with “H” and ends with “arcourt, Marquess of Blayne.” I also suspect that the Lady Fitzwilliam subplot will tie in there, too.Regardless, I think it’s all but guaranteed the Lucy/Fallon plot and the Charlotte&Lydia one will intersect in a big way via the Spartans. Also in favor of ulterior motives: it’s a parallel to what she knows Charlotte is doing with Lydia. If they suspect Fallon killed Kitty … It’s a hella dangerous game to play, but I can see Lucy choosing to play it. And we know (from 2.02 and the 2.03 sneak peek) that she and Fanny will be pursuing using the button to find Kitty’s killer. We’ve already seen her test him for knowledge of Kitty (2.02). We already know from s1 that she gets a bad vibe from Fallon. I think there’s a strong possibility Lucy enters this contract with ulterior motives. Thanks for your patience on this! Let’s see, where could this storyline go…
